Plumbago

24 February – 2 April 2024

‘Plumbago’ was a term used to describe intricate graphite drawings in the 17th and 18th century.

This exhibition reflects the title to bring together a varied selection of pastel paintings that provide us not only with an insight into the specific techniques used by pastel painters today, but also seeks to reignite an awareness of, and appreciation for, this versatile medium.  The exhibition will feature selected Members of the Pastel Society (PS) alongside leading pastelists from the UK.
