Robert McPartland’s paintings explore the ever-present beauty that can often be overlooked in everyday life. Occasionally, we may experience fleeting moments as epiphanies or through meditation; but through painting, Robert aims to capture these moments for reflection. His body of work spans a wide spectrum of human experience, telling stories through objects and their relationships with colour, light and space. Inspired by Zen philosophy, his paintings often have an ethereal sense of balance and clarity, which give the viewer space to find their own meaning.
Originally from Teesside, Robert studied, lived and worked in London for over 25 years before moving to Wales in 1996, where he now lives with his family.
