“One of a series of paintings completed during lockdown of berries and fruits collected in my garden throughout the seasons in English vintage porcelain bowls. I am fascinated by textures and the challenge of creating them in oil paint. I love the way the powdery looking skins of the blueberries stand in contrast to the bobbly and furry texture of the juice filled raspberries. In addition to this I painted my favourite bowl hand painted by Masons ironstone china which matched the fruits so perfectly.” Ginny
