“I am largely a self taught artist with my best teacher being the great outdoors. Nature is always showing me new ways to appreciate and observe life which in turn I try to document. My work tries to demonstrate the inspiring connection and response to my surroundings. I strive to create realistic paintings which celebrate life and excite the soul without embellishing the subject. My goal is for people to feel good when looking at my paintings.

I believe my work primarily aligns with Contemporary Realism as a genre. With every painting I attempt to represent the subject matter truthfully, without artificiality enhancing. I want to show the natural depth found in every day items and landscapes. I work to strike the fine balance in painting accuracy with emotion and atmosphere. It is very important to me to show my respect to the subject through accurate mark making with feeling.

​Based in Hampshire, I paint both “en plein air” and in my Studio. One of my Art heroes, David Shevlino, described my style best; “Felicity has a very straightforward way of painting her subjects. Her vision is infused with both uniqueness and exuberance.” Felicity
