Lotta started painting professionally in 2018 after a career as a barrister in international development. Primarily self-trained, she has done short courses at the Slade, Ecole des Beaux Arts Paris, with Charles Cecil in Florence and Julian Merrow-Smith in Provence. Lotta has developed a practice focusing on still life and plein air. She aims to paint loosely, with accuracy of colour and drawing, while maintaining a certain liveliness.

In 2021 Lotta won first prize in the British Arts Prize and in 2024 she was elected a full member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Her paintings can be found with Panter and Hall (Mayfair), the Jerram Gallery (Sherborne), Beaux Arts Bath, and Collins Galleries (Massachusetts) or bought directly. Raised in London she currently splits her time between UK, Italy and Moldova.
