Posts, Stream and Beached Boats
Chris Forsey RI SGFA | Acrylic | 21 x 28 inches
“A slightly misty February morning, a touch of frost, the stream meandering out into the estuary at Brancaster Staithes, small boats and dinghies marooned on the muddy shore. The sun was just rising and casting a warm light onto the sides of the craft, the foreground wooden uprights in stark contrast to the flat muddy foreshore.
I am a painter mostly inspired by landscape subjects and capturing atmosphere, weather and the way light can transform the ordinary into the exceptional. I paint using water-based media, often combining watercolour, acrylic, ink and pastel in the same painting to create layers of colour and texture. I am a member of the ROYAL INSTITUTE OF PAINTERS IN WATERCOLOURS and the SOCIETY OF GRAPHIC FINE ARTISTS. “ Chris Forsey
