Susie works from her studio in Northwood on the Isle of Wight.

She prefers to work intuitively to create vibrant abstract paintings which are inspired by maps and landscapes, dreams, current affairs and childhood. Her paintings evolve from studio and location sketches worked in watercolour, collage, acrylic and ink.

Her favourite medium is soft pastel and it is ideal to explore the themes of fragility, resilience, wildness and constraint which fascinate her. Painting and drawing with what hands and fingers are important aspects of Susie’s art practice.

Her painting titles are in invitation to the viewer to join her on a flight of imagination and offer their own interpretation.
