“Painting from the gallery and adjoining studios, my work is landscape based with an emphasis on painting water. My approach embraces both representational and abstract elements and I push the character of the paint to extremes. I work mainly in watercolour, but I also enjoy carborundum collagraph printmaking and occasionally working in oils. Elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, I teach classes and workshops in a variety of media and exhibit widely across the country. I exhibit regularly with the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours at the Mall Galleries, where I was awarded the Turner Medal in 2015. My paintings are in many private collections throughout the UK; and in Japan, Germany, France, New Zealand, Australia and Finland.” Deb
