Max is a fine artist and portrait painter based in Shropshire, has been captivated by portraiture from a young age. The human face, with its unique capacity for character and communication, serves as a constant inspiration for his imagination.

Max completed his studies at Charles Cecil Studios in Italy from 2008 to 2011. Subsequently, he carried out portrait commissions in oil and charcoal, as well as engaged in still life paintings, from his London Studio. He has recently relocated to his new studio in Shropshire.

“My passion lies in painting from life, where I am captivated by the organic process of translating my immediate reality onto canvas. This enthusiasm is complemented by a profound curiosity about texture, layers, and edges.

I am constantly exploring innovative methods to convey the tactile and characterful aspects of what I see through the medium of paint in both my still lives and figurative pieces.” Max
