Alex Ayliffe| Mixed Media with Pastels | 18 x 18 inches

Alex trained at Westminster University and began a career as a professional illustrator before turning her focus to Fine Art.  She completed an MA in 2019 at the University of Hertfordshire, where she developed her distinctive abstract approach to painting, informed by the landscape, colour, surface and spatial relationships. She now lives in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and her work is increasingly inspired and shaped by the unique East Anglian landscape.

Alex has exhibited widely – recent highlights include regular exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London, solo shows at Gallery East in Woodbridge, and Summer Contemporary at Snape Maltings.  Her work can also be found at the John Davies Gallery, Morton-in-Marsh, in the University of Hertfordshire’s Permanent Collection, and in private collections throughout the UK and internationally.
