Coronation Mug (To be sold as a pair)

Exhibition: Artist:

Anne Pugh | Signed Limited – Edition Colour Etching | Edition: 25/150  | Plate Mark Size 7 x 7.5 inches

Anna Pugh was born in 1938, in Kent, and is now well established as an English folk artist, painter and printmaker. She became particularly known for highly imaginative depictions of the natural world-flowers, birds, insects and animals – combining very precise drawing with unusual perspectives and a rather dreamlike, almost fantastical quality. Her early training was in graphic design, and she subsequently developed a strong interest in Persian and Mogul painting. Her work became sufficiently important to warrant a published catalogue raisonné, Anna Pugh: Catalogue Raisonné 1987-2006, introduced by the art critic Angus Stewart and published by Frances Lincoln in association with Lucy B. Campbell Fine Art in 2007. The catalogue is held by the Yale Center for British Art.

This etching is one of a pair by Anna Pugh and must be purchased together.
