Jo Pearson, aka Strangford, is a printmaker originally from South London, now living and making a mess on the scenic Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland. Her work puts a quirky, colourful twist on relief and Riso printing, featuring animals that look like they’ve wandered in from a dream.

Her process is hands-on and happily scrappy: designs are carved into plywood from the local DIY shop, then printed using a heavily modified laminator that really earns its keep. Every piece is a mix of craft, curiosity and the slow satisfaction of spending a lot of time encouraging something unique come to life.
