Nicola Gillyon | Coloured Pencil | 22 x 22 inches

Nicola is a Wildlife artist, based in Yorkshire, who uses coloured pencils and graphite to draw realistic wildlife portraits. Her passion to create is motivated by a need to support wildlife conservation, raising awareness of its fagility, and to produce an emotional connection to the wildlife involved.
Nicola’s pieces are very detailed, involving multiple layers of colour and tones, until the desired level is achieved, and she is slowly emerging into oils.
A volunteering trip to South Africa reinforces the need to help conserve and raise awareness through her art, inspiring many of her pieces to date. Nicola’s work has been exhibited in the Mall Galleries and Oxo Gallery, London, being selected for the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year 2024/2025 , and Sketch for Survival 2024. She continues to raise vital funds and donate artwork that supports conservation projects worldwide.
