Sonia Dobbs Orr was born in Norfolk and began her art training at Great Yarmouth Art College with a foundation course in Art & Design.  She then gained a BA Hons. degree, also in Art & Design at Bretton Hall College, Leeds specialising in sculpture.

Sonia works from her garden studio in Newton-by-Castleacre and is currently concentrating on her pastel painting.  She particularly enjoys depicting the local landscape, making the most of the contrasting light effects.
