Maria Lintott is a Hertfordshire-based artist exploring the sculptural potential of paper. Working from her studio, she creates intricate paper cuts, meticulously hand-stitching layered forms to produce dynamic, mixed-media artworks defined by geometric precision.

Her practice is driven by a deep fascination with the natural world and its rich symbolism. Through careful design and repetition, she builds rhythmic compositions that evoke movement while inviting a sense of calm and contemplation. Light and shadow play a vital role in her work; each sculptural piece is designed to be lit, enhancing these qualities and bringing the forms to life.

Maria studied Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins, graduating with a First-Class Degree, before completing her Master’s at the Royal College of Art.
