“Having lived in both England and Australia, my work is an expression of emotional response and visual memory shaped by the landscapes I have lived in, travelled through, and connected with. Whether through painting or drawing, I explore themes that consistently underpin my practice: nature, the environment, conservation, and, within these, ideas of mindfulness and self-reflection.

In both mediums, I aim to create a strong sense of mood and drama, using light and contrast as key elements to guide emotional response. My paintings built up through thin, delicate layers of oil paint, strip away representational form to evoke a more ethereal, atmospheric quality. These works are intended as emotional and sensory explorations, inviting the viewer into a quiet, contemplative space where they can connect with their own memories and sense of place.” – Emma
