Emma Christmas is a contemporary ceramicist based in the New Forest, Hampshire.
Having studied at Central School of Art followed by a BA in ceramics at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts she pursued a career in product and fashion design. Emma returned to making ceramics in 2020.

Emma closely observes the patterns of the natural world in her surrounding environment. Currently focused on birds of the Solent, the Keyhaven marshes and her country garden.
Her work explores themes of ecology, migration and sustainability.

Emma works in thrown and hand-built, once-fired stoneware which is decorated in engobe and underglaze.
