Lucy was born in Yorkshire into an artistic family and decided early in life to be a painter. She was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 2011 and is a serving council member for the society. Lucy’s work focuses on capturing beauty, light, detail and stillness. She aims to reflect a serene and uplifting feeling within her paintings and really capture a moment in time.

She began her artistic career as a portrait painter but also developed a real passion and love for still life.
